Celluma® Red Light Therapy
 

Celluma® Red Light Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support cellular repair and rejuvenation. Also known as photobiomodulation, red light therapy does not use the wavelengths associated with UV-related skin damage.

This soothing, comfortable treatment has been studied for a variety of potential applications, including skin health, tissue repair, inflammation, pain, and exercise recovery. For skin health, it may help support collagen production and improve the appearance of fine lines, redness, skin tone, and texture. Research in some areas is promising, while evidence for many proposed uses is still developing.

• Pain Relief:  Helps reduce muscle and joint pain and inflammation while supporting the body’s natural recovery process.

• Skin Rejuvenation: Stimulates collagen production, improves skin tone and texture, and promotes a smoother, healthier-looking complexion.

At Latitude in South Burlington, red light therapy can be enjoyed as a standalone treatment or incorporated into another treatment, such as massage therapy or acupuncture, when appropriate.

Microneedling
 

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that uses very fine needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing response and encourages collagen production. Results develop gradually as the skin renews and produces new collagen.

Microneedling can help improve:

• Fine lines and wrinkles

• Uneven skin texture

• The appearance of certain scars

• Skin tone

• Overall skin appearance

Face - 60 minutes
Face and neck - 75 minutes
Face, neck, and décolleté - 90 minutes
Scalp hair regrowth - 60 minutes
Hands - 45 minutes

​Microneedling for the décolleté and hands is also available as a same-day add-on to your treatment.

What should I expect after a microneedling treatment?

​

Your skin begins its natural renewal process immediately following treatment. Some temporary redness, mild swelling, dryness, tightness, or light peeling can be normal.

​

The day of treatment:

• Touch your skin only with clean hands.

• Apply your recommended Skin Repair HA serum to soothe and hydrate.

• Avoid makeup.

• Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating.

• Avoid unnecessary sun exposure.

• Do not apply additional creams or skincare products for the first 24 hours unless instructed otherwise.

The following day:

• Continue your HA serum as needed.

• Wash with a gentle cleanser.

• Continue treating your skin gently.

48 hours after treatment:

• Continue HA serum for 2–3 days as needed.

• Use mineral sunscreen when exposed to the sun.

• Gradually return to your regular skincare routine once your skin has healed.

​

For approximately 3–7 days following treatment, avoid potentially irritating treatments and products, including retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, waxing or other hair removal, swimming pools, hot tubs, and tanning beds.

​

Keeping your skincare routine simple and gentle while your skin heals can help support the recovery process.

Cosmetic Acupuncture Facial
 

Cosmetic acupuncture is a gentle, natural approach to facial rejuvenation that uses ultra-fine, hair-thin needles placed at specific points on the face and body. Treatment helps stimulate circulation, collagen production, and the skin’s natural renewal processes while supporting overall wellness.

The facial needles are exceptionally small and gently placed at targeted points based on your individual skin concerns and treatment goals. Traditional acupuncture points on the body may also be used to support a whole-body approach to treatment.

Most patients find the experience comfortable and relaxing, resting quietly while the needles remain in place. With a series of treatments, patients may notice gradual improvements in fine lines, skin texture, tone, and overall complexion.

Unlike more invasive cosmetic procedures, facial acupuncture requires little to no downtime.

How should I prepare for facial acupuncture?

​​

Allow approximately 60 minutes for your treatment.

​

Before your appointment:

• Avoid Retin-A for 48 hours before treatment.

• Let us know about any recent cosmetic procedures, including Botox or dermal fillers. We generally recommend waiting at least two weeks following injections before having facial acupuncture.

After your facial acupuncture treatment, you can typically return to your normal daily activities right away.
