Answers to Common Questions
Where is your office located?
Latitude Acupuncture & Wellness is located at 550 Hinesburg Road in South Burlington, Vermont. Our practice serves patients throughout Chittenden County and beyond, including South Burlington, Burlington, Shelburne, Essex, Williston, Colchester, Winooski, Charlotte, Hinesburg, Bristol, Middlebury, and Westford.
How do I book my appointment?
The fastest and easiest way to book your appointment is online through our safe and convenient patient portal. Simply click here to choose your treatment and view available dates and times. Online booking is our preferred method and gives you immediate access to our most up-to-date availability.
You can also call us at (802) 321-2109 to book your appointment. If you reach our voicemail, simply leave us a message and we’ll return your call as soon as possible.
Why do I need to put a credit card on file?
When booking your initial appointment, we ask that you provide a credit card to keep securely on file. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking—it is simply required to reserve your appointment and helps us protect the time set aside especially for you.
Your card may only be charged in accordance with our cancellation policy. Please review our Cancellation Policy (below) for complete details.
What is your cancellation policy?
Because your appointment time is reserved especially for you, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. We completely understand that plans can change and unexpected things come up. Giving us as much notice as possible allows us the opportunity to offer that time to another patient who may be waiting for an appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged the full treatment fee if we’re unable to fill the appointment time. We truly appreciate your consideration and understanding, and your help in allowing us to make appointment times available to as many patients as possible.
What happens after I book my first appointment?
Here are a few things to know before your first visit:
-
Check your email. You’ll receive a confirmation with a link to your new patient portal, where you’ll find your intake and consent forms.
-
Complete your forms ahead of time. Please complete them before your scheduled appointment or plan to arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out at our office.
-
Come as you are! There’s nothing special you need to bring or wear to your appointment.
-
Please skip the fragrances. To help create a comfortable environment for everyone, please avoid perfumes, colognes, scented creams, or other strongly scented products.
-
Need the restroom? Our restrooms are locked for safety, and a key is available in our office if you need to use the facilities before your appointment.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Latitude Acupuncture & Wellness accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance for acupuncture services. Coverage varies by individual plan, and we can verify your acupuncture benefits before your first visit so you know what your plan covers.
There are two ways to provide your insurance information:
-
Upload your insurance card or enter your information through the Latitude patient portal.
-
Call (802) 321-2109 and leave your insurance information on our secure voicemail.
Please provide:
-
Name of your insurance plan
-
Customer service phone number listed on the back of your card
-
Member ID
-
Group number, if applicable
-
If you are covered under someone else’s plan, we’ll also need the policyholder’s name, relationship to you, and date of birth.
What if I don’t have coverage?
If you’re uninsured or your plan does not cover acupuncture and the standard treatment rates create a significant financial hardship, we also offer sliding-scale pricing based on financial need.
How many acupuncture treatments will I need?
Every patient is unique and there is no one answer to this question. After completing a thorough intake, your acupuncturist can recommend a treatment plan based on your individual needs. Length of treatment will depend on many factors: length and severity of the issue(s), any confounding factors, and your overall constitutional strength.
How can I share feedback about my experience at Latitude?
One of our greatest passions is helping more people experience the benefits of holistic, personalized care, and sharing your experience is a wonderful way to help spread the word. We’d sincerely appreciate you taking a moment to leave a review on Google. Your kind words mean so much to our team and can help others find the care and support they may be looking for. Thank you for being part of our community.
