Can Acupuncture Support Women’s Health?

Yes, acupuncture is commonly used as a complementary approach to support women through a variety of health concerns and stages of life.

Our South Burlington acupuncture treatments involve placing very thin, sterile needles at carefully selected points on the body. Rather than following the same protocol for every patient, treatment is personalized based on your symptoms, health history, current stage of life, and individual goals.

Our acupuncture services may help support women experiencing:

●     Menstrual discomfort and cycle-related symptoms

●     PMS and other hormonal concerns

●     Perimenopause and menopause symptoms

●     Fertility and reproductive health concerns

●     Pregnancy-related symptoms

●     Stress, anxiety, and sleep concerns

●     Headaches and migraines associated with hormonal changes

We’ll talk through a recommended treatment plan for your individual needs, and how acupuncture can be used alongside anything else you may already be doing from your physician or other healthcare providers.

A Personalized Approach to Women's Health

At Latitude Wellness, we understand that women’s health is highly individual and can change throughout different stages of life.

During your first appointment, Lindsay will take the time to understand your health history, current symptoms, menstrual or hormonal patterns when relevant, sleep, stress, medications, lifestyle, and any other care you’re currently receiving.

This allows her to create an individualized acupuncture plan focused on your specific symptoms and overall health rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

What to Expect During Treatment

When you visit our acupuncture facility in South Burlington, VT, your first visit begins with a comprehensive consultation to discuss your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and treatment goals.

Once covered, your practitioner will begin gently placing very thin, sterile needles at selected acupuncture points based on your individual needs. Once the needles are in place, our clients tend to relax comfortably for about 20 to 30 minutes.

As your visit is ending, we'll also go over a recommended treatment frequency and what to be mindful of between appointments. Your treatment plan may be adjusted over time based on your symptoms, goals, and response to acupuncture treatment.
